The Drunken Clam was the finest oyster-house in Lambeth, London.[1]

The Long Utopia

In March 1848, Oswald Hackett and Luis Valienté had dinner there on the night they met and Oswald told Luis about his intention of creating an organization made of Waltzers.[2]

Several years later, in October 15th, 1895, Oswald and Luis, this time joined by Fraser Burdon, all on the run from the British government, had dinner at the Drunken Clam where Oswald told them about his idea to create the Fund.[3]
